Summary of the contracting process

The Bank of England is seeking a strategic partner for its End User Compute (EUC) solution through a selective tender process. This initiative, classified under the CPV code for office and computing machinery, has an indicative budget of £58 million over a potential seven-year period, starting from 1st November 2021 and ending on 1st November 2028. The deadline for tender submissions is set for 17th December 2020. The service aims to enhance operational efficiency and support approximately 6,000 end users spread across 15 sites in the UK, showcasing the Bank's commitment to responsive and cost-effective service delivery.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the technology and services industry, particularly those specialising in office equipment and end-user support solutions. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) should consider participating, as the procurement process is designed to be accessible and may favour innovative, customer-centric proposals. Notice Title

End User Compute (EUC)

Notice Description

The Bank is seeking to appoint a dynamic and proactive strategic partner to support its vision for providing a customer focused, responsive and cost-effective End User Compute (EUC) solution. The Bank intends to appoint this partner on a long term basis to allow sufficient time to gain the greatest benefits from the service solution. As such the contract will be for a term of 5 years with the option for the Bank to extend by 2 years. The indicative spend for all of the services currently being delivered is PS58m over the 7 year term (if all services were fully rolled out in the phased manner and the two year extension was used). We expect our partner to continuously drive improvement in the services with a goal to become operationally silent. We also expect our partner to adhere to The Bank's values and observe a working ethos based on partnership, transparency and trust. The EUC solution is critical to the Bank as the services touch all its employees to enable them to carry out their roles. The solution will support approximately 6000 end users across 15 sites in the UK. Our End User device estate includes 6232 laptops, 589 desktops, 2237 mobile/tablet devices and approximately 100 MFDs & 60 desktop printers.
