Notice Description

NHS England proposes to commission an Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) contract for Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) from the following three sites: - Galleries Health Centre, Washington Town Centre, Washington, NE38 7NQ - Barmston Medical Centre, Westerhope Road, Barmston, Washington, NE38 8JF - Pennywell Medical Centre, Pennywell Shopping Parade, Portsmouth Road, Pennywell, Sunderland, SR4 9AS It will be a requirement that the services are offered from the above premises. The list size of the practice is approximately 13,526 patients (as at 1st October 2015) and the practice will have a boundary covering the whole of Sunderland. It is envisaged that the tender documentation for the re-procurement of this service will be issued in January 2016, with an anticipated service commencement date of 1st October 2016. The contract will be awarded initially for a period of 5 years. The successful bidder will also be expected to deliver the Violent Patient Scheme Directed Enhanced Service via a specification from the following site: - Pallion Health Centre, Hylton Road, Sunderland, SR4 7XF. The contracting authorities must consider the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 as part of this procurement.
