Summary of the contracting process

The Home Office is organising a market engagement event for the Border Force's requirement for X-Ray Scanners. The event aims to engage with the global supply market to understand technological advancements in X-Ray scanners. The procurement stage is currently in the planning phase, with the engagement end date set for 5th May 2023. The event is focused on the inspection equipment industry category and will take place in various locations including the British Overseas Territories, Channel Islands, Europe, Isle of Man, and the United Kingdom.

This tender offers opportunities for suppliers of X-Ray scanners and related maintenance services. The Authority, in this case the Home Office, is interested in procuring Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products and is open to specific modifications if needed. Businesses specialising in the security technology industry, specifically X-Ray inspection equipment, would be well-suited to compete in this tender. Suppliers interested in participating should send an expression of interest by the closing date of 5th May 2023 to be considered for future procurement with the Border Force.
