Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process pertains to the "CS5387 Semi-Independent Living Framework" initiated by Tower Hamlets, targeting the health and social work services sector. The tender, with a total value of £9,249,000, is currently at the award stage, having been published on 28th February 2019. The contract period is set to commence from 1st July 2019 to 30th June 2022. Interested suppliers must submit their expressions of interest by the deadline of 5th April 2019. A suppliers' briefing is scheduled for 18th March 2019 at Mulberry Place, London, where prospective bidders can gain insights into the tender requirements and service expectations.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in social care, particularly for those able to provide semi-independent living arrangements for looked-after children and care leavers. Companies offering support services tailored to high and complex needs, as well as those for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, will find this framework particularly relevant. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate, with a maximum of 10 providers expected for each of the three lots within the framework. This is an excellent chance for suitable businesses to enhance their reach and impact within the community while contributing to the well-being of vulnerable youth in Tower Hamlets.
