BEIS FM22013 Developing a Pre-Market Risk Assessment for Construction Products
Notice Description

Brief Description of Requirement The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) is in the process of becoming the National Regulator executing the statutory responsibility on behalf of the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) Secretary of State, for Construction Products for the whole of the UK. Once the Building Safety Bill receives Royal Assent (2022/2023) OPSS will promote, encourage and enforce good practice in the construction industry and will be responsible for ensuring products used in buildings are the right quality and that robust, effective regulatory action is taken against serious weaknesses and poor practice. The aim is to bring together evidence based on existing industry practices, academic literature, recognised best practice and other relevant sources to scope a specification for a robust and deliverable risk assessment. Please ensure you review all attached information to ensure a full understanding of this requirement. All attachments can be found with the Document Uploads tab within the Delta eSourcing Portal. This contract will be awarded based on the evaluation criteria as set out in the ITQ document. Interested organisations should ensure that they allow a sufficiency of time, prior to the deadline to allow all sections to be completed in full and any attachments to be uploaded.
