Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Southwark is currently in the planning stage of the procurement process for the “LBS Children and Young People Residential Care Market Questionnaire,” aimed at gathering insights into the children's residential care sector. The engagement phase is set to conclude on 13th August 2021. Key events are scheduled for 9th and 10th June 2021, where providers are invited to participate in focus group meetings with commissioners. This procurement falls under the health and social work services category, with all services required to be delivered in England.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in children’s residential care services, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs). Businesses well-suited to compete include those offering residential care solutions, staffing services, and complementary community services. Engaging with the council during the open events and providing market insights will be crucial for organisations wishing to contribute to the children’s care ecosystem in Southwark and potentially secure future contracts.
