Health Education England are putting out this notice as a VEAT (Voluntary ex ante transparency notice) with a view to completing a Direct Award to Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) The case for direct award can be found on the tender portal. HEE is seeking a provider to the development of 26 clinically focused education and training videos in relation to the GP curriculum such as to meet the specific requirements of the HEE National Primary and Integrated Care Portfolio. HEE believes that it is highly unlikely that any other supplier has the unique access to experts with the skills and experience to be able to deliver these talks within the timeframe for the delivery of GP Blended Learning placements from April to August 2023. 1. The RCGP, a charity, was founded in 1952 in London, England and incorporated by Royal Charter in 1972. It is the only UK based professional membership organisation for GPs; The organisation's Royal status carries a level of reputation and access to expertise that is not replicable across other suppliers. 2. RCGP has access to expertise in advancing education and research in GP and Primary Care and is responsible for setting standards of training and administering examinations in General Practice in England. 3. RCGP is experienced in setting and monitoring standards of care and in providing expert guidance and advice on policy to relevant bodies (including HEE, NHSI/E and GMC) on matters relating to the provision of GP training and primary care services in England. 4. RCGP has access to over 54,000 Members registered worldwide who's expertise could be accessed to contribute to the delivery of this education and training. Furthermore, they have operate or have access to several expert or education and training groups and committees including but not limited to: the GP Specialty advisory committee which develops and oversees policy in all areas of work relating to GP specialty training and assessment and certification and special interest groups such as the Health inequalities standing group and learning disabilities group. 5. RCGP operates or has access to a number of expert education and training resources including: courses and events, eLearning, Educational libraries and the RCGP eLibrary and the Daffodil standards. https://health-family-contract-search.secure.force.com/?SearchType=Projects All communications should be made via the messaging function on the Health Family eTendering portal.
