HEE Digital Readiness Programme - Improving the use of digital technology, data, information and knowledge across health and social care
Notice Description
The work to be delivered: 1. Grow professional body membership amongst clinical informaticians - through recruitment of new members and retention of current members, ensuring the membership is representative of the clinical informatics population in all areas of diversity 2. Improve the services for members to support their professional practice and continuous development 3. Develop portfolio, equivalence and, eventually, qualification routes to professional body membership 4. Develop and maintain comprehensive competency standards for clinical informaticians across health and social care 5. Work with regulatory and professional bodies in health and social care to obtain recognition by the PSA regulators of a clinical informatics qualification as speciality training 6. Work with the four UK nations, professional bodies, employer organisations and other stakeholders to embed clinical informatics competencies in career pathways and job descriptions 7. Work with the four UK nations and stakeholders including academic organisations, to ensure that there are high quality learning and development opportunities to enable clinical informaticians to acquire the skills and experience that they need 8. Monitor the quality of clinical informatics courses through assessment and accreditation (including the NHS Digital Academy) and promote high quality offerings to clinical informaticians to inform their decisions
