Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process titled "Defra - End User Environment" is being conducted by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) based in London, England. This initiative falls under the category of computer-related services (CPV code 72500000) and is currently in the planning stage. A key milestone is set for engagement with potential suppliers, with the due date being 23 February 2018. The anticipated contract duration is five years, with an option for two additional years, and an estimated total contract value of £131 million for the seven-year period. An EUE Supplier Event is scheduled to take place in early May 2017 to further discuss opportunities for prospective suppliers.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in ICT services, particularly those capable of providing end-user environment solutions. Firms not only engaged in computer-related services but also those that have experience in delivering IT solutions across multiple government sites would be well-suited to compete. With 23,000 staff and potentially more Defra-affiliated organisations requiring these services across various locations in the UK, vendors with a proven track record in similar projects may find substantial avenues for growth by engaging in this procurement process.
