This service fulfils our statutory duties as set out under The Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Mental Health Act 2007 for the provision of Independent Mental Capacity Advocates (IMCA) for individuals who lack capacity and provides Independent Mental Health Advocates (IMHA) for people detained under the Mental Health Act 2007.
