Notice Description

The Council wishes to procure the following services: Lot 1 - Independent Health Complaints Advocacy Service (IHCAS) The Health and Social Care Act 2012 placed a duty on Local Authorities to commission a local Independent Health Complaints Advocacy Service. Local Authorities are required to commission the provision of assistance for individuals making or intending to make an NHS complaint (which includes a complaint to the Health Service Ombudsman). and Lot 2 - Advocacy service to support Learning Disability Programme The purpose of this service is to provide advocacy for adults with learning disabilities who are residents of Telford & Wrekin with the aim of engaging, consulting, collaborating and co-producing an ALD strategy, shaping future service delivery and continuing on the journey to improve outcomes and opportunities to ensure this group of people can live fulfilled lives. Bidders should note that services are procured in lots and are separate from each other, bidders can bid for one or both services and successful bidder will be awarded a contract in accordance with scoring methodology shown in the RFQ. Separate contracts will be formed. IHCAS service is to commence on 1st April 2020 for a period of 3 years with an option to extend for a further period of up to 2 years. Advocacy service to support LD programme is to commence as soon as possible for a period of 2 years with an option to extend for a further period of up to 1 year. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs).
