Notice Description

Nottingham City Council (NCC) on behalf of the Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), has received an award of PS320,000 (revenue only) for the period of 16th September 2019 to 31st July 2020 for investment into Adult Education with a focus on Family Learning. In 2019/20, providers in receipt of an Adult Education Budget - Community Learning allocation will be expected to work in line with the ESFA policy objectives. This specification is for the provision of a Family Learning service to include the following learning activities which will: 1. Demonstrate that the organisation will be targeting & focusing support on disadvantaged communities, whom are least likely to participate in learning opportunities, including those with low skills. 2. Support programmes that seek to widen participation and transform people's destinies by supporting progression relevant to personal circumstances. 3. Support projects that demonstrate how learner's participation can lead to or have a positive effect on developing stronger communities, with more self-sufficient, connected and pro-active citizens. The service will initially be contracted for 11 months (16th September 2019 to 31st July 2020), with an option to extend for a further 1 year, plus 1 year, plus a further 1 year, (years are academic) and all contract extensions are at the discretion of Nottingham City Council.
