Notice Title
Progress Living door Entry system
Notice Description
Introduction Progress Housing Group are a Housing Association, managing 11,000 homes across the UK delivering housing related services for over 20 years. Part of the portfolio is providing key worker accommodation for the NHS Trust in Lincolnshire, across sites in Lincoln, Boston and Grantham. We have around 570 units of accommodation at these three hospitals, we are looking to update the door entry system in these accommodation units. There are approximately 690 internal locks and about 36 external locks over four separate sites. Current Process The accommodation units currently have a keycard system, hardwired locks on all external doors and battery operated locks on the internal doors. The keycards are programmed on site and work on an electromagnetic system. The system works from an application which has the data for all locks and all key paths. This system is programmed with a tenants name and room and start and end date of stay and then a keycard is coded, the keycard can only be updated if it is physically inserted in a coding machine. Current Problems The current system was installed 12 years ago and the hardware is increasingly failing, therefore the cost of replacing hardware is increasing year on year. The system is reaching the end of its life in terms of support and it is envisaged there are better solutions available that can improve the end user experience and potentially save time and staff costs. Ideal Solution We are searching for a supplier who can provide a lock system for the accommodation which; Must haves * Be future proofed, solution must have a clear road map for development * Can be programmed to allow access to specific areas * Is time and date sensitive * Able to provide reports on access to areas/rooms by time, date and area * Backs up to a cloud based solution * Remote assistance available from the supplier in the event of issues or queries * System updates and servicing provided as part of the package * Override keys available for all locks Would like to have * System accessed and "keys" can be updated remotely * Does not rely on a card being inserted into a lock, i.e. phone app or fob * Notification (automatic) of issues such as low battery * Automatic updates for locks for issues such as daylight saving * Ability to be integrated into a smart phone app or QR code
