This tender falls within the Laboratory services industry category (CPV 71900000) and involves services essential to compliance with the Food Safety Act 1990. The contract, valued at £26,009, commenced on 1st August 2024 and will run until 31st July 2025. Companies adept in high-risk food sampling and compliance with regulatory requirements will find this an advantageous project. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) with expertise in food safety analysis and those capable of providing comprehensive lab services would be well-suited to compete for similar opportunities. The direct award procurement simplifies entry for well-qualified suppliers, underlining the importance of maintaining high standards in service delivery to gain market reputation and future contracts.
