Greece Located Sales Service for the UK Flag
Notice Description
Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) will be publishing a further Contracts Finder Opportunity notice to be supported by an Initiation to Tender (ITT) during March of 2023. This will be to formally invite proposals for its requirement to work with a service delivery partner to provide a sales agency service to be based in Greece. The service delivery partner will operate on behalf of the UK Ship Register to actively promote the UK Flag to generate increased Gross Tonnage. In addition to this, the service delivery partner will provide a UK Ship Register sales office to be based in Greece. It will be imperative that the service delivery partner must be able to fulfil the following requirements: a) Must be able to provide a suitably qualified and/or experienced person to represent the UK Ship Register as a sales agent in sales meetings with maritime industry representatives. b) Must demonstrate substantial knowledge of the global maritime market with suitable experience in global shipping. c) Must demonstrate substantial knowledge of global flag administrations and be conversant in the commercial dynamics affecting shipping companies. It should be noted that specific training on the UK Ship Register and its benefits will be provided during the implementation of the new contract to commence from the 3rd of April 2023.
