Notice Description

Public Health England (PHE) is seeking to purchase affinity chromatography resin and associated columns to perform the depletion of IgG from human plasma at the 1-2 litre scale. These products are for the Pathogen Immunology Group within National Infection Service (NIS) Laboratories research department. PHE requires the Protein G Fast Flow Sepharose resin and columns to support the chromatography process developed in house. The requirement must meet the following mandatory specifications for Protein G Fast Flow Sepharose: - Must be available in 1L batches. - Must have proven track record for the depletion of IgG from human plasma at the 1-2 litre scale. - Must provide consistent depletion without activation of either the Complement cascade or the coagulation pathway at the 1-2 litre scale. - Resin must be of a pharmaceutical grade. The mandatory requirement also covers the provision of associated columns and consumables which will allow depletion of IgG and IgM using AKTA instruments.
