The Provision of Special School Nursing and Therapies on behalf of NHS South West London Integrated Care Board
Notice Description
NHS South West London Integrated Care Board (ICB) is currently developing their service specification and contracting process for the The Provision of Special Needs School Nursing and Therapies Provision at Perseid Special School and Greenmead Special School. The role of the nursing service in special schools is uniquely positioned to meet the actual and potential health needs of all pupils with special needs: 1. Programme planning for health and educational outcomes 2. Case management of chronically ill pupils 3. Promoting a healthy and safe school environment for all pupils including the delivering of health education to pupils 4. Referral to essential community resources 5. Collaboration with families, school and outside agencies 6. Administering first aid 7. Advocating for the overall health and wellbeing of pupils This market engagement exercise seeks the views and opinions of those organisations that may be interested in delivering the Service. This exercise and any subsequent responses are in no way legally binding on any party. Participation in the engagement exercise is not a mandatory requirement for participating in any potential future procurement; however, responses received will assist to inform the Contracting Authority as to the level of interest from the market and will be used to evidence a decision as to whether or not to undertake a competitive procurement.
