Notice Description

Cumbria County Council are procuring an Independent Visiting Service for Children Looked After. Independent Visitors are adult volunteers who provide independent, one to one support to children aged 5-18 who are looked after by Cumbria County Council. Children and young people who are in care often experience a lot of disruption in their lives. An Independent Visitor is there to visit, advise and befriend a child/young person, offering them consistency, support and encouragement throughout the time they are in care and often beyond this time. All visitors participating in the scheme take part on a voluntary basis. Some children requiring this service will be living in placements outside the county of Cumbria. All bids must be received electronically via The Chest by the closing date which is 16th October 2018 at 11am.
