Summary of the contracting process

The Mayor's Office for Police and Crime (MOPAC) is planning a procurement process for the "London Hate Crime Victims Service - Market Engagement Documents." This initiative is aimed at offering culturally appropriate, specialist support to victims of various hate crimes throughout London. The procurement is in the planning stage, with an anticipated tender release at the end of January or early February 2025. Key dates include the contract period starting from 1 June 2025 to 31 May 2028. The total budget over three fiscal years from 2025 to 2028 is £2.1 million to £3.5 million, and the procurement method will be an open procedure.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in health and social work services, particularly those experienced in supporting hate crime victims. The open procedure above the threshold encourages participation from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs). Given the service's requirement to cover all strands of hate crime, partnership or consortium bids are especially welcomed, fostering collaboration and potential business growth for the involved entities. The engagement phase includes several workshops to gather feedback and insights, further helping shape the tender to be competitive and inclusive.
