Supply Chain Notice: Garden Maintenance (203 no Void Properties) across our Bedfordshire Region (FDIS)
Notice Description
Garden Maintenance to 203 no Void Properties at the following sites across Service Delivery Area 11 Bedfordshire: Wyton 34 properties Bassingbourn 35 properties Waterbeach 5 properties Henlow 90 properties Chicksands 32 properties Stanbridge 7 properties All gardens to meet the following Move-In Specification: "10.8 Trees All self-set trees (up to 75mm diameter) shall be removed. All trees inappropriate for their location or those adjacent to footpaths, highways and structures (e.g. buildings, lighting columns, signs and fences) shall be removed. Trees overhanging or encroaching security fence lines, boundary walls, fences, utility services, street furniture are to be pruned back to a minimum of 1m clearance and maintained as such. Formative pruning shall remove epicormic growths and root suckers." "10.9 Climbing plants All ivy and climbing plants shall be removed (severed and poisoned, stripped and dug out at base)." "10.10 Hedges and shrubs Borders and flowerbeds are to be tidy, weeded and cultivated. Hedges and shrubs are to be maintained to a manageable1.8m height and 1m width. All dead, controlled and dangerous species are to be removed." "10.11 Ground clearance Gardens are to be free of all litter, excrement and garden waste. Fallen leaves, debris and windfall fruit shall be removed 2 days prior to the Move-in, with new leaves, debris and windfall fruit occurring during the two days allowed to remain." "10.12 Green space The garden shall be in the majority, an even surface. All individual areas of wear greater than 5% of the grassed area are to be reinstated by seeding with seed comparable to the current grass type. Unless wet or frost conditions prevent cutting, the grass shall be between 25mm to 40mm. Grassed areas that abut hard surfaces are to be trimmed using a strimmer. Scalping of lawn edges shall be completed. All arisings from grass cutting to be removed. Awnings, sandpits, swings, and other temporary structures shall be removed. Communal areas are to be clean, serviceable and free from rubbish." Additional information: Amey have been tasked by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation through the Future Defence Infrastructure Service to deliver the Regional Accommodation Maintenance Service for the Central and North Regions. For Amey to accept any Expression of Interest it is ESSENTIAL that any subcontractor is: - a member of Constructionline at GOLD LEVEL 3; - capable of working to MOD SFG20 (Pre-Planned Maintenance); - capable of working in a Building Information Management (BIM) Level 2 environment; - a Cyber Essentials Plus Certificate holder (required if you are likely to handle MoD Identifiable Information on your IT system); - willing to work with Amey to deliver Social Value to our Client. DESIRABLE attributes of our Supply Chain: - have a Corporate Social Responsibility policy; - have a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan If successful the subcontractor will need to pass a pre-qualification questionnaire, sign up to Amey Terms and Conditions, and meet the MoD Security Requirements. This advert is for Expressions of Interest (BY EMAIL ONLY) - from the responses and our existing subcontractor data base we shall compile the tender list. Tender packs will follow separately. Note 1: The bidder must quote for all aspects of the Works. Note 2: Future works of a similar nature may be negotiated based upon submitted rates. Note 3: To comply with The Public Contract Regulations 2015, those making an Expression of Interest may be required to sign-up to our 'Sub-contract Agreement' where 'Mini Competitions' or 'Call Offs' may be used to tender works/services.
