The Nottinghamshire County Council is planning a tender for 'Major Adaptations in Service User Homes Pre-Market Engagement' in the lifting and handling equipment industry category. The procurement stage is in the planning phase, with the engagement end date set for May 29, 2024. The Council aims to tender a Framework Agreement establishing four single provider agreements for various mobility equipment installations, maintenance, and recycling in England.

This tender opportunity can benefit businesses specialising in stairlifts, ceiling track hoists, modular ramps, and vertical lifts installation and maintenance services. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are well-suited to compete for this contract. Businesses should focus on providing cost-effective solutions while considering environmental sustainability, as there is scope to use recycled equipment in the adaptation process, aligning with the Council's objectives.
