Notice Description

NHS North Staffordshire and NHS Stoke on Trent CCGs serve a registered population of approximately 502 000 people. The CCGs are considering the possible procurement of an Adult Community Physiotherapy Service for the population of Northern Staffordshire using a single provider route. The service shall provide high quality physiotherapy and offer a range of treatment modalities for patients with musculoskeletal conditions that can be provided safely in the community setting or within the homes of housebound patients. The overarching aims of the service are to; provide high quality, cost effective and patient centred physiotherapy for people with MSK conditions, Provide timely access, closer to home for physio assessment and treatment, Assist in restoring function ability, maximum independence and self-care, Deliver clinically effective treatments that reduce the demand on secondary care (acute) services and reduce the need for more costly interventions. If and when this requirement is offered to tender, this will be done via electronic means using the internet. Midlands and Lancashire CSU is conducting this procurement exercise as a central purchasing body for another NHS body with whom the successful bidder(s) will enter into contracts for the supply of the services. Any other public sector body wishing to access the contract may do so only with permission from the contracting NHS body. Contract conditions will be set out in the invitation to tender. Further details will be made available via documentation and information released during the course of the exercise.
