Notice Title

Communications Support for East Midlands Academic Health Science Network (EMAHSN)

Notice Description

Communications Support for East Midlands Academic Health Science Network (EMAHSN) The East Midlands Academic Health Science Network is one of 15 AHSNs nationally, established by NHS England in 2013. The AHSNs connect NHS organisations, social care bodies, universities and industry to accelerate innovation and support the adoption and spread of ideas and technologies across large populations. They are catalysts and facilitators for change across whole health and social care systems, with a clear focus on improving outcomes for patients. The 15 AHSNs work within their local areas to spread healthcare innovation, and also come together as a connected national network to take what works best and spread it throughout England - helping the NHS do things better and cheaper. In July 2017 NHS England announced that the AHSNs will be relicensed for a new period from April 2017, with an enhanced remit to operate as the national innovation arm of the NHS. EMAHSN's current five year licence will be renewed by the NHS in April 2018. To prepare for this new phase the organisation is entering a period of realignment - this will involve maintaining existing activity whilst also starting to implement new programmes of work. EMAHSN has an in-house communications team that coordinates the planning and delivery of all communications, marketing and engagement. Activity is focused on developing networking and engagement with multiple organisations and individuals throughout East Midlands health, industry, social care, academic and third sectors. The team delivers bespoke communications plans and activities for dozens of individual innovation projects, and maintains a range of corporate communications channels and process including website, social media and a Customer Relationship Management system. As the organisation moves into its new licence, the team will be at the forefront of maintaining and building awareness and understanding amongst stakeholders to ensure they are aware of the changes and continue to be engaged - and will also be reviewing existing and new developing systems and processes to support EMAHSN's new licence priorities. The team is seeking a highly experienced communications individual to provide additional support during this extremely busy period prior to and immediately post relicensing. Support is required for 2 days per week starting 8 January 2018.
