Summary of the contracting process

Durham County Council is seeking to engage a supplier through an open tender process for the provision of catering services in primary schools, excluding secondary school services. Notice Description

The Council are looking to appoint, through this Tender process, a single Supplier to provide catering services in primary schools. For clarity this opportunity does not cover secondary school catering services. Currently, 155 schools, made up from a combination of Primary Maintained Schools, Special Schools and Primary Academies, have committed to participate in the Agreement. The initial contract period is for 3 years commencing 1st August 2022 with a potential to extend for a further 2 x 3 years. Therefore the maximum potential length of the Contract is 9 years.
