Summary of the contracting process

Central Bedfordshire Council is initiating a framework contract titled "CBC-1212-T-CE Construction Framework - AWARD" for building construction work, set to take place across East Anglia, Leicestershire, Rutland, Northamptonshire, and the surrounding area. The procurement process employs a restricted procedure, with the contract period commencing on 8th March 2022 and concluding on 7th March 2026. The tender process has recently reached the award stage, with key deadlines having previously been established for tender submissions, namely 9th September 2021 for Part A (SSQ) and, if successful, 7th December 2021 for Part B (ITT).

This framework presents substantial growth opportunities for construction businesses, particularly those capable of managing varied project values ranging from £0 up to over £15 million. Companies specialising in building construction, including large enterprises with experience in public sector contracts, would be ideally suited to compete for these projects. The framework is specifically designed to streamline the process of engaging construction partners to address the immediate and future needs of public contracting authorities within the specified regions.
