Research Project to Validate Methods to Quantify Horse and Pork Meat Adulteration of Raw and Processed Beef Products
Notice Description
This research requirement seeks to validate DNA methods to detect mislabelling of meat to provide a quantitative method which is sufficiently robust in applications under legislation relating to food labelling. The research will include a collaborative trial across up to 3 laboratories to yield a 'gold standard' method for use by Public Analysts/Official Control Laboratories in a court of law.
