Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process titled "Cambridgeshire and Peterborough's Appropriate Adult Services for Children and Vulnerable Adults in Custody and Reparation Services" is currently in the planning stage, led by the buying organisation LGSS. The project aims to deliver health and social work services within the East of England, specifically for vulnerable individuals in custody. Key dates include an engagement end date on 23rd February 2018, with potential service commencement planned for August 2018. An early engagement notice was published on 16th November 2017, inviting dialogue with potential service providers to discuss effective service delivery models.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses focused on health and social care, particularly those experienced in providing support for children and vulnerable adults in custodial settings. Companies capable of delivering 24-hour, seven days a week services will be well-positioned to compete. Additionally, organisations that can demonstrate innovative service models and effective strategies for mitigating challenges in this area will attract greater interest from the commissioners seeking to rationalise existing contracts into a comprehensive service provision.
