Summary of the contracting process

The Staffordshire and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit is initiating a procurement process for Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services, as part of the commissioning strategy across several Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in Staffordshire. The process is currently in the planning stage, with an engagement event scheduled for 25th January 2016 at Stoke-on-Trent CCG. Interested providers must register by 22nd January 2016 to secure a place due to venue capacity restrictions. The expected procurement method is an open procedure, aimed at identifying a provider or providers best suited to deliver high-quality transport services for eligible patients in the West Midlands region.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in health and social work services, especially those specialising in patient transport. Companies that can provide reliable, efficient, and high-quality transport solutions will find themselves well-placed to compete. The engagement event will allow potential providers to learn more about the commissioning strategy and service delivery model, fostering collaboration and enhancing service effectiveness. Hence, health service providers and transport companies should consider participating to establish connections and potentially secure contracts within the Staffordshire area.
