Enhanced Water Treatment Capacity for Existing Borehole
Notice Description
This project covers the undertaking of works to upgrade to the water softening capacity associated to a pre-existing borehole operated at our Exeter headquarters site. The enhanced system shall deliver water softening capacity of 8m3/hr, and shall include the following functionality; * A bulk salt saturator * Increased water softening capacity to a maximum of 8m3/hr * New more resilient pumping system * New kiosk Whereby, the successful contractor will be required to; * design, * manufacture, * test (offsite), * deliver, * install (including associated ground works, electrical, and plumbing services) * test and * commissioning of a fully functional solution, suitable for retrofit within the confines of the existing system, and performance requirements detailed within the tender documentation.. Additional information: The tender documents are available via the Met Office's eTendering Solution; ProContract. Whereby, interested parties can search for the opportunity on ProContract via the following link; https://procontract.due-north.com/Opportunities/Index?tabName=opportunities&resetFilter=True . The Opportunity is listed as; "Enhanced Water Treatment Capacity for Existing Borehole" (Tender Ref : DN449743) under the "Met Office" Portal or Organisation drop down menus. Selecting the tender by clicking on the Title in blue, will bring up brief details of the requirement and timescales, and a link top right to "Login and register Interest in this opportunity". For existing register users of ProContract you can follow the instructions and Login and register interest. For new users of ProContract you first need to "Register free" to create your supplier profile system, and can do this by the "Register free" link under the "New to ProContract?" header. Once you have logged into the system, you will need to click the 'Register Interest' button for the opportunity (tender) itself. This should result in a pop up window, whereby, within this pop you will find a direct link to go straight to the tender page, or alternatively should wish to log back into the ProContract system at a later point in time, you can get to the same tender page via the "My Activities" area of the portal, which lists all your current live opportunities, and is accessible from the portal homepage (once logged in).On the tender page to access the tender documents themselves you will need to click "Open" to access the tender detail page,where you will find the tender documentation attached in pdf. word. and excel formats. In addition to the Background information around the Existing Power Management System, as presented in Annex A of this tender, we are proposing to hold a site visit here in Exeter, on Thursday 12th December 2019, so that interested parties can review the current infrastructure, in addition to the document provided. Should bidders wish to attend the Site Visit on Thursday 12th December, please can you email procurement.enquiries@metoffice.gov.uk no later than 17:00 hours on Monday 9th December 2019, confirming their interest in attending, and the name (first name / surname), and nationality of proposed attendee. Note: No more than two (2) attendees per bidder can attend the site visit. Further details of the visit schedule, will be provided to those parties interested in attending.
