Notice Description

The Authority has a requirement to deliver up to at least 206 new educational psychologists per year into the market over three annual cohorts. The Contractors shall be responsible for all activities in delivering new Educational Psychologists, including: 1. Recruitment of suitable trainees; 2. Delivery of a level 8 Doctoral training course, including at least one trainee placement in a Local Authority in England, accredited to HCPC standards; 3. Recruiting and management of Local Authorities to provide suitable placements in Educational Psychology; 4. Payment to trainees of Authority provided bursaries; 5. Ensuring trainees work for a Local Authority within England for at least two years after completing the programme. Additional information: The Authority will hold a supplier engagement day, currently planned for 17 Jan 2019 in London. The purpose of the day is to allow potential providers to provide feedback on the Authority's requirements and to inform the Authority's approach to market. To register your interest in the event, please email Edpsychs.nctl@education.gov.uk and include the names and contact details of your attendees (including phone numbers). Please note, a maximum of two attendees can attend per potential provider. Upon receipt of your expression of interest, the Authority will provide a draft copy of the requirement's specification for comment. Please note, in order to attend the engagement day, potential providers are not required to currently hold HCPC accreditation; the Authority will allow enough time for a new provider to gain HCPC accreditation before teaching of the first cohort commences. Please note, for any questions on the 17th, 18th and 19th of December, please contact varick.harrison@education.gov.uk. Expected delivery dates are academic years 20-23, with an option to extend for an additional fourth cohort, subject to the Authority's sole discretion. Expected contract dates are 09/19-08/25.
