Into Film Evaluation Services - AWARD
Notice Description
In 2023 the BFI awarded PS11m of National Lottery 'good cause' funding over three years for education and skills development for 5-18 year olds. The funding was awarded to Into Film, a UK-wide partner to deliver two targeted programmes: BFI National Lottery Teaching with Film and Careers and Progression. In addition to the above two Programmes for which Into Film are the sole awardee, Into Film were awarded Young Creatives Funding along with National Saturday Club, with each delivering different programmes of activity. Investment in UK-wide activity will see a significant shift in focus in how the BFI will support UK-wide film education via the National Lottery going forward, an outcome of its 10-year strategy, Screen Culture 2033. The change in focus and development of the Programmes has been informed by the industry, public consultation, and research, which fed into the BFI's National Lottery Strategy within Screen Culture 2033, with activity starting no earlier than April 2023. As the BFI nears the mid-point of the first funding period (2023-2026) of the new strategy, the BFI would like to commission an interim evaluation of the three BFI funded Programmes delivered by Into Film starting in the Autumn of 2024. Findings from the interim evaluation will be used to inform iterations to the Programmes and guidelines ahead of the second strategy funding period (2026-2029).
