Notice Description

South Gloucestershire Council is a Unitary Authority in the South West of England. The Council currently commissions a variety of services for adults and children. The Council is inviting tenders from potential suppliers who wish to provide specialist services on behalf of South Gloucestershire Council from 1st September 2023. Specialist services are Community Based Support, Day Services, Mentoring Services and Supported Living Services. Specialist services predominantly supports people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health issues, sensory impairments, physical impairments, acquired brain injury and behaviours that challenge. The Council requires providers to support individuals in and outside of South Gloucestershire to progress towards identified outcomes from Care Act assessments. The Provider will deliver the service with the concept of wellbeing at its core, in line with the provisions of Sections 1 and 2 of the Care Act 2014. The Provider will provide high quality, reliable, consistent support that enables individuals to increase choice and control over their daily lives, to achieve and maintain maximum possible independence and a sense of belonging. The Provider shall promote the maximum level of independent living skills achievable by the individuals accessing the provision and supporting individuals to access other services. Individuals will have opportunities to a service which enables them to benefit from community, leisure, education, training, and employment opportunities. This means engaging with the individual, undertaking activities that have a purpose towards progression of outcomes. The initial duration of the contract is for 48 months, with the potential to extend for a further 24 months, making a total possible contract term of 72 months. Any contract extension or renewal will be dependent upon continued need for the service, satisfactory performance and availability of funding. It is anticipated that this contract would start on 1st September 2023. Potential suppliers will need to complete all necessary documents and submit them before the round deadline date for the Council to review. The Council reserves the right to close the round earlier than the proposed deadline date at is discretion. This is an open procedure under the Light Touch Regime.
