Notice Description

Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group ('BSW CCG') seeks to commission a Community Vasectomy Service via an Any Qualified Provider ('AQP') process. The Vasectomy Service will be a complete holistic patient focused approach and include, pre-vasectomy counselling, surgical operation and post-vasectomy testing and will be available to patients registered with GP's in Bath and North East Somerset (Bath City, Norton Radstock and Keynsham / Chew Valley) and West Wiltshire (Bradford on Avon and Melksham and Trowbridge) areas who are members of the BSW Clinical Commissioning Group. The main aims of The Service are: o To provide a high quality, cost effective, local community vasectomy service. o To improve access and convenience for patients. o To provide a complete holistic patient focused care package; including pre and post-operative care, information, advice and counselling. o To provide an opportunity for men's Health Promotion. o To provide services that comply with accepted best practice, relevant accreditation processes, relevant guidelines in clinical practice and robust governance arrangements. o To ensure consistent and continuous care between health professionals, and effective and efficient communication. The contract will be awarded on an NHS Standard Contract for an initial 3 years with a possible extension of any period up to further 2 years. Bidders should note that Any Qualified Provider ('AQP') contracts let as part of this process will not guarantee any business for accredited providers. Further details are provided in the Accreditation Document. This procurement is being carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioners. Additional information: Interested providers will be able to view this notice via the 'current tenders' list on the e-procurement system In-Tend, available on the following link: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/scwcsu/aspx/Home In order to submit a bid, you will need to be registered on the e-procurement system and 'express an interest', and then complete a response as specified within the procurement documents. On registration, please include at least two contacts to allow for access to the system in times of absence. The services are healthcare services falling within Schedule 3 to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 ("the Regulations") which are not subject to the full regime of the Regulations, but is instead governed by the "Light Touch Regime" contained within Chapter 3, Section 7 of the Regulations (Regulations 74 to 77). The contract value of this procurement is under the Light Touch Regime threshold and therefore the rules of this Regime do not apply.
