Overview UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) has agreed, based on evaluation of the 2015-2018 events, to sponsor for a 5th year the annual International Reception at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) meeting, provided by the AAAS organisation. The sponsorship terms require UKRI to use the AAAS's preferred venue and thus in turn to also use the venue's preferred provider of catering, audio visual and associated services - which prevents UKRI from tendering for these services.
