Summary of the contracting process

Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council are entering the planning stage of a procurement process for "Supported Accommodation for 16-18 Year Olds in Care". The relevant procurement is classified under health and social work services, with a specific focus on providing support for young people aged 16-18 in care, and is set to be tendered in Spring 2018. Key milestones include an engagement event on February 2, 2017, with preparation details being disseminated prior to the tender's release, intended to clarify the opportunities available to interested providers.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses engaged in social care, accommodation services, and related support sectors. Providers specialising in services for vulnerable youth, particularly those experienced with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and young adults, would be well-positioned to compete. The engagement event aims to gather insights from potential bidders, allowing them to tailor their offerings in line with the councils' expectations and the identified needs of the young population in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
