Summary of the contracting process

The Eiffage Kier joint venture is seeking expressions of interest (EOIs) for the "EKFB - Plant & Equipment Recovery - Framework Opportunity", aimed at the recovery of mobile plant and equipment to support the C23 HS2 project. This tender is currently in the active tender stage with a submission deadline of 31st March 2022. The relevant work will occur in the West Midlands region of the United Kingdom, specifically across areas such as North Chilterns, Aylesbury, and others. This procurement, classified under mobile plant construction work, is expected to have a contract value of £250,000, using a selective procurement method. Contracts for the awarded framework are due to commence on 27th May 2022 and run until 27th May 2026.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the civil engineering and construction sectors, particularly those with capabilities in mobile plant recovery. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to participate, as the procurement process intends to support local businesses. By responding to the EOIs, interested parties will have the chance to be prequalified and potentially invited to tender through EKFB's eSourcing platform, which could lead to substantial project work within the context of the extensive HS2 rail network development.
