Notice Description

The Isle of Wight Council ("the Authority") invites Tenders from suitably qualified providers ("Tenderers") for the provision of Healthwatch Isle of Wight. The contract is to run from 1 January 2018 for a period of 5 years with the option to extend for a further period of up to 3 years at the sole discretion of the Authority. The Island's local Healthwatch is an independent and effective local voice which provides information and advice for Islanders about health and social care services and directs people to services to ensure that they understand the choice of care available. It also involves local people in improving and shaping the services on which they rely. The allocated budget for these services is in the range of PS140,000.00 to PS150,000.00 per annum. The decision has been taken to disclose the annual budget for the service and ask that tenderers demonstrate how they can deliver the service within this budget allocation The Authority is unable to consider any submission that does not come within this figure; however, tenderers are able to submit under the allocated budget. The closing date for receipt of Tenders is 14:00Hrs on 8 November 2017. Additional information: The Freedom of Information Act (FOI) 2000 which came into force on 1.1.2005 applies to the Council. If any tenderer considers that any information supplied is commercially sensitive/confidential, this should be highlighted and reasons given. A schedule is provided in ITT documents where tenderers can record and submit this information to the Council. In such cases the relevant material will, in response to FOI requests, be examined in light of exemptions provided for in this act. The contract shall be made in English and according to English Law and subject to the jurisdiction of the English Courts. Any values listed in II.1.5 and II.2.6) are indicative and are given for the whole contract period (including any possible extension period) and are for the maximum budget figure.
