Summary of the contracting process

The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) is seeking innovative solutions for an Autonomous Waste Sorting and Segregation project. The procurement will involve a 4-year phased approach, culminating in an autonomous waste sorting and segregation platform demonstration at an NRS site. Key milestones include an engagement end date of 26th June 2024. The NDA will manage the procurement, with contract management by NRS. The project falls under the CPV codes for pre-feasibility study, technological demonstration, feasibility study, waste analysis, and design services.

This tender presents an opportunity for businesses with expertise in research and development, waste analysis, and design services to compete. The suitable businesses should be able to provide innovative solutions for autonomous waste sorting and segregation. As the NDA is hosting an engagement event on 18th June 2024, interested suppliers can register to participate and showcase their capabilities. SMEs and VCSEs are encouraged to engage, and the final contract worth between £0 and £39.5 million will be awarded to a single supplier.
