An inspection of asbestos containing materials was recently undertaken within the Civic Guildhall Block - Upper and Lower-Level Basement by Scientific Services. These inspections are undertaken to ensure the council is complying with those duties required of it by the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, in particular the duty to manage asbestos and routinely assess its status. A suitable LARC supplier is required to carry out the works necessary to remove the asbestos.
