Notice Description

The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust (MYHT)requires local diagnostic and minor therapeutic endoscopy services with staff qualified to appropriate levels of skill and experience, using endoscopy equipment and within facilities that are consistent with JAG accreditation standards. High quality connection to NHS information and electronic image transfer solutions are required with the ability to transfer images to MYHT (the right is reserved to review this as future integration). Robust performance management systems and stringent levels of clinical governance are also required. The care pathway required is to provide pre-appointment communication (in part to determine appropriateness for service) with patients (including discussion about bowel preparation), the diagnostic investigation, and a report being sent to the referrer, which covers the description of the investigation and the findings. Patients must be offered a choice of appointment time and day of the week. The appointment along with any care/treatment must be offer close to the community in which the patient lives. High quality connection to NHS information and electronic image transfer solutions are required with the ability to transfer images to MYHT (the right is reserved to review this as future integration). Robust performance management systems and stringent levels of clinical governance are also required.
