Summary of the contracting process

Tower Hamlets, based in London, is currently in the tender stage for the procurement of the "HAC5997 Children & Young People's Health & Wellbeing Service" within the health and social work services category. This procurement aims to provide a comprehensive public health nursing service for children and young people aged 5-19, integrating services for sexual health and substance misuse prevention and treatment. The contract is divided into three lots, with a total estimated annual value of £2,400,000 (exclusive of VAT) and spans a potential contract period of up to seven years, starting from 1 April 2025. The tender period ends on 30 September 2024.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in health and social care services, particularly those experienced in public health nursing, sexual health, and substance misuse services. Larger enterprises are likely to find this opportunity attractive due to its scale and complexity, as indicated by the non-suitability for SMEs and VCSEs. Participating in this tender can help businesses expand their portfolio in public health services and secure a long-term contract with a reputable public authority like Tower Hamlets. The open procedure procurement method ensures a transparent and competitive process.
