The Borough Council of Wellingborough is seeking a service provider for Estate Management of its Investment Property Portfolio, which also encompasses Facilities Management and related additional services. The procurement process is in the Award stage, having been officially published on 22nd October 2019, following the completion of a tender initiated on 25th March 2019. This selective procurement method, outlined as a restricted procedure, has key deadlines including a short-listing questionnaire due by 24th April 2019, with plans to issue an Invitation to Tender by 13th May and a final bid deadline of 7th June. The estimated contract value is £2.25 million, with a contract period starting on 8th November 2019 and concluding on 7th November 2024, covering the East Midlands region of England.

Companies capable of providing comprehensive Estate Management solutions, including statutory maintenance and Health and Safety compliance, as well as additional services like building surveying and project management, would be ideally positioned to compete. Furthermore, as the services are extended to various district councils and the County Council in Northamptonshire, suppliers can leverage a broader market potential to expand their service offerings beyond just the Borough Council.
