14/001 Yeovil - Castle Cary - Shepton Mallet Somerset Council wish to tender Service 1 Yeovil - Shepton Mallet Operators can provide prices on a cost or subsidy basis or both. Monday - Saturday timetable. Monday - Saturday For subsidy bids average patronage is 934 per week (January 2025 to December 2025) based on current timetable Price based on an overall minimum vehicle capacity of 40 passengers. Variant bids based on vehicles provided by the approved supplier are welcome. Revenue and reliability report will be required periodically which will be taken off the automated ticket machine data. As part of your bid, please provide full details of vehicle size and capacity, i.e. both seated and standing capacity, please indicate the split of seating and standing of the vehicles you will be using. Please note that the 17:35 journey from Castle Cary to Yeovil is NOT part of this tender. Start Date: 13th April 2026 End Date: 28th August 2027. Option for extension: None Tender will close at 12:00 noon Friday 30th January 2026.
