Notice Description

Create and deliver video / film content and related services for The Honresfield Acquisition - a collection of private library items from the 18th C. which has been largely inaccessible for the last 80 years. Following a fundraising campaign the works in the library were acquired for the nation and will be distributed to a series of partners including the British Library. The collection is considered to be one of the most culturally significant private library collections ever to be transferred to public institutions. The British Library chairs an Engagement Group, which includes all Consortium partnerships, and this group, or a sub-group, will ensure that all partners are able to input into the film. This group wants to celebrate the acquisition and provide the opportunity for as many people as possible to access the collection. Objectives *To inspire audiences and give access to the collection items *To develop films that are audience-led in their creative vision, not 'designed by committee' *Engage as broad an audience as possible *Bring the collection to life for those audiences digitally *Tell the story of the collection/ fundraising campaign of this landmark acquisition *Present the collection together (digitally), despite them being housed in different locations *Ensure all partners feel involved and represented Full details can be found in the 001910 tender documents. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs).
