Summary of the contracting process

The NHS Fylde Coast CCGs has initiated a procurement process for a Homeless Nurse Service, recognising the ongoing health needs of homeless people on the Fylde Coast. The service, classified under Health Services in the CPV code 85100000, is currently in the Award stage, with the contract running from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2023. The procurement method employed is a direct single tender action, with a total contract value of £250,000. Key dates include the contract award on 1 May 2021 and the end of the tender period on 31 March 2021. The service is to be delivered in North West England.

This contract presents significant opportunities for businesses skilled in healthcare services, particularly those with experience in delivering holistic care for vulnerable populations, including nursing, mental health support, and substance misuse treatment. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary and community sector enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly well-suited to participate, given the focus on tailored, community-oriented healthcare solutions following the emergency response during the COVID-19 pandemic. This interim contract will lay the groundwork for future procurement processes aimed at expanding such essential services.
