Health Education England are putting out this notice as a PIN (Prior Information Notice) with a view to completing a Direct Award to Social Mobility Foundation The case for direct award can be found on the tender portal. HEE is seeking a provider to run the Access to Medicine programme for the 22/23 cohort. HEE believes it is highly unlikely for any other supplier to be up and running from 1 Oct 2022 to provide the following skills provided by the current supplier which include: * Comprehensive experience of running Access to Medicine programmes (both face to face and virtual) and evidence of consistent student success rates * Proven ability to adapt and maintain quality programme support in the face of pandemic restrictions * Ability to engage with and support students across England with strong representation outside London and in underserved areas * Extensive volunteer network enabling one to one mentor support from a volunteer medical professional for all A2M students alongside additional volunteer support for reviewing applications and pre-interview preparation * Extensive relationships with a range of medical schools, hospitals and clinical settings able to offer work experience to A2M students * Breadth of programme including information and support with applications to medical school, professional skills workshops, work experience and a mentor * Strong safeguarding culture including developed policies and processes, DBS checks for staff and volunteers, training for staff and volunteers, and nominated safeguarding officer and senior manager * Expertise in designing and delivering effective A2M support for a student cohort drawn from very low socio-economic backgrounds https://health-family-contract-search.secure.force.com/?SearchType=Projects All communications should be made via the messaging function on the Health Family eTendering portal.
