The design and supply of all non Thales equipment and materials to upgrade the London Underground Engineering Vehicle fleet to enable them to operate on the new Four Lines Modernisation (4LM) Automatic Train Control (ATC) new signalling system. The engineering vehicles which are in the scope of this work package are: 18 No. 'Type A' Battery Locomotives 11 No. 'Type B' Battery Locomotives 2 No. 'D Stock' Rail Adhesion Trains (RAT) 2 No. New Matissa B45 Tamping Machines 1 No. Existing Plasser Tamping Machine (Optional) 1 No. Asset Inspection Train (AIT) (Optional) 14 No. Electric CB40 Schoma Locomotives (Optional) 2 No. '1962 Stock' Sandite Trains (Optional)
