Summary of the contracting process

The Fenland District Council is inviting suitably qualified service providers to submit proposals for Multi-Disciplinary Architectural Services required for the design and delivery of light industrial units at South Fens Enterprise Park in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire. This procurement is currently at the Planning stage and employs a reserved procurement method as outlined in Procurement Policy Note 11/20, aimed at supporting local businesses in Cambridgeshire. Interested bidders must request the tender documents by 3rd February 2021, with a submission deadline set for 12pm on 10th February 2021. The contract period is expected to commence on 15th February 2021 and run through to 7th October 2022, with a projected build value between £1.25 million and £1.75 million.

Notice Description

Fenland District Council invites suitably qualified (RIBA) service providers to submit a multi-disciplinary fee proposal for the design and delivery of high quality light industrial units at South Fens Enterprise Park, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire. Services required are: Architect (incorporating principle designer). Structural and Civil Engineering design services Mechanical and Electrical design services Quantity Surveying Services. Services to be provided from RIBA stages 1 to 7 subject to gateway reviews, feasibility and planning permission. If successful the winning bidder would continue to work with Fenland District Council to tender for a build contractor. Project build value is circa PS1.25 to PS1.75M. To apply for the tender document you must be based or established in Cambridgeshire. This is a reserved procurement as per Procurement Policy Note 11/20 for Cambridgeshire to support local companies especially in the North Cambridgeshire Area, there is adequate competition for what is a relatively low procurement for a small local authority.
