The NHS Coastal West Sussex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is currently in the planning stage for a market engagement event regarding the Integrated Urgent Care service. This procurement process aims to enhance urgent care delivery within the South East region of England. The engagement event will take place on 27th February 2018 at the Chichester Room, Field Place, Worthing, where interested parties can learn about the integrated model intended to streamline urgent care services. The total estimated contract value is £25 million over five years, with an estimated annual value of £5 million. Interested participants are encouraged to express their interest by contacting the NHS via email before the engagement deadline of 27th February 2018.

Notice Title

NHS Coastal West Sussex Clinical Commissioning Group Integrated Urgent Care Market Engagement Event

Notice Description

NHS Coastal West Sussex CCG Integrated Urgent Care Market Engagement Event CWS CCG recognises that helping people with urgent care needs to get the right advice in the right place, is the primary driver for providing high quality care for people presenting with both physical and mental health needs. The current system is often fragmented with significant duplication. Connecting all urgent and emergency services, especially those providing face to face encounters has been recognised as key, with the overall system becoming more than just a sum of its parts. CWS CCG therefore intends to commission a local 24hr integrated urgent care service that meets the needs of our population by integrating GP Extended Access, Urgent Treatment Centres (UTC), Out of Hours Face to Face and Visiting Service. In addition, the integrated urgent care model will address the national mandate to transform urgent care within CWS and ensure it is delivered in an efficient and seamless way. This will be through local health care professionals who are able to flex across working boundaries and deliver quality care for our local population through single point of access of the Sussex 111/ Clinical Assessment Service. The Commissioners envisage that the term will match that of the current 111 procurement, i.e. 5 years (this is subject to change through the market engagement process and will only be finalised when any contract notice is issued). The contract value is estimated to be PS5m per annum, so for the duration of the contract 5 years x PS5m per annum = PS25m total contract value. NHS CWS CCG would like to invite you to our market engagement event where we will provide further detail on our Integrated Urgent Care Model including: * A walk through of the model, which includes 2 UTCs collocated with the A&E Departments at Worthing and St Richards Hospitals * How the data has influenced our thinking * Interfaces with Sussex 111 and the Clinical Assessment Service * The importance of IT When and where When:Tuesday 27th February Venue: Chichester Room, Field Place, The Boulevard Worthing West Sussex BN13 1NP The venue can be found at www.fieldplace.co.uk/contact-us/ The event is scheduled as follows: 13:00 - 13:30 Arrival and Registration with Tea & Coffee 13:30 - 14:00 Presentation by the Strategic Lead and Clinical Lead for urgent care, including: * Background and context of urgent care * The model * The interface with 111 * Timeline 14:00-14:30 Open Question and Answer session 14:30-15:00 Networking session with Tea & Coffee 15.00-15.15 Final questions 15.15 Close Please register your interest in this event by contacting chrisgoodwin@nhs.net with the following information for each individual who will be attending from your organisation, (max of 2 per organisation): Name Organisation Job Title Additional information: This exercise is not part of any pre-qualification or selection process.
