Notice Description

Bristol City Council is undertaking a soft market testing exercise to potentially tender for an agent, experienced in managing Dynamic Purchasing Systems for the supply of food, beverages, and catering disposables, who can meet the requirements of a range of commercial and local authority settings within a diverse city that is aspiring towards Gold Sustainable Food City status http://sustainablefoodcities.org/about. The product types required for supply and delivery are as follows: a. Catering Disposables - wide range e.g. foil, cutlery, cling film, cups, bags, etc. with product ranges that are sustainable, compostable, and recyclable. b. Catering Milk & Bread - a range of catering milk and bread products including fresh bread, speciality bread, bakery items and a variety of milks - semi skimmed, skimmed, and organic. This would need to meet the required food standards. c. Fresh Fruit & Vegetables - complete range of fresh fruit and vegetables to EEC Class 1 standard and including EEC Class 2 produce such as carrots and parsnips. Organic produce and fair trade will be required. d. Fresh Meat & Poultry -complete range of fresh meat, poultry, offal and other products such as beef burgers and sausages that will meet the required food standards. e. Frozen Goods - a range of frozen products, including meats, fish, vegetables, pastries, and ice cream that meet the required food standards. f. General Groceries - To supply and deliver a range of grocery commodities including dairy products, chilled cooked meats, tinned, dried, and drinks that are food standards compliant.
